Yes. Appropriate vehicle insurance is included with your hire, subject to our driver’s eligibility requirements and terms and conditions. We may need to check your driving licence and other information before confirming your booking.

Mileage allowances may vary depending on the length and type of hire. Any applicable mileage allowance and additional mileage charges will be clearly explained before your booking is confirmed.
A security deposit may be required as part of your booking. We’ll explain the amount, payment arrangements and conditions for returning the deposit when you make your reservation.
We will normally require a valid driving licence along with any additional identification or documentation required by our insurers. We’ll let you know exactly what is required before collection.
We’ll complete the necessary checks and show you around the vehicle, including its controls, horse area, ramps and relevant safety features. You’ll have an opportunity to ask any questions before setting off.
Yes. We ask that the horse area is mucked out and the horsebox is returned in a clean and tidy condition. Additional cleaning charges may apply if a vehicle requires excessive cleaning following hire.
The vehicle should normally be returned with the agreed level of fuel. Full details will be provided when you collect the horsebox.
Please contact DMR Horsebox Hire immediately if the vehicle is damaged or involved in an accident. Do not arrange repairs yourself unless we have specifically authorised you to do so. Any insurance excess or damage charges will be dealt with in accordance with your hire agreement.
